What a great first week of school at Jessieville! It was good to have our students back on campus and see the energy that comes with the start of a new year. Our Back-to-School Pep Rally was a great way to kick things off, and our Sports Showcase was a big success. I also want to thank our parents and community members who brought nutritional shakes and snacks for our athletes. That kind of support means a lot to our students and coaches.

We’re off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to all that this school year has ahead for our students, staff, and community.

Info For The Week

  • Students will be getting into their curriculum beginning this week. Thank you for your support at home this year as our students learn and grow.
  • If you ever have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to your teacher on parent square. Our teachers will also be using parent square to reach out to parents about what is happening in class and any concerns they may have.
  • Late start Wednesday begins this week. Classes begin at 8:40 AM on Wednesday.

Upcoming Events

  • We will have our annual report to the public and Title I meeting in the board room beginning at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18th.
  • Immediately following the report to the public and Title I meeting, we will have our monthly board meeting.
  • The boys golf team will play against Alma at Cortez on Monday beginning at 2:00 PM.
  • Tennis will play at home against Booneville on Tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM.
  • Sr. Football will play a scrimmage at Poyen on Tuesday. The time has been changed to 8:00 PM because of the extreme heat.
  • Tennis will play at home against Haskell, Harmony Grove on Thursday beginning at 4:00 PM.
  • Jr. Football will play a scrimmage at home on Thursday. The time has been changed to 8:00 PM because of the extreme heat.
  • Peewee football will play a jamboree at home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM.

  • Please make sure you have ParentSquare downloaded and that your notifications are turned on. That will help you receive school announcements, weather information, transportation updates, reminders, and other important messages.
